Chitral wild life a great source of Eco-tourism.
Wild Life of Chitral is a great source to promote Eco-tourism and easily earning more than other resources. Some 231000 US Dollars collected this year from foreign hunters in trophy hunting. 2 Ibex and 3 Markhor earned 0.23 million US Dollars from international hunters. The foreign hunter through bid pay 15000 to 81000 US Dollars for one Markhor hunting and 3000 US Dollars for a Ibex. Chitral Markhor is the most rare genius (type/kind) of wild life in the world as well as snow leopard is also attracting world tourists in Chitral. A Snow leopard is whirling on 280 square kilometers of range Imtiaz Hussain Divisional Forest Officer of Wild Life disclosed while briefing local journalist about existence of wild life in Chitral.
There are 1500 Markhor, 27 Snow leopards, 200 Fox, 300 Jackals, 150 Monkeys, 300 hares, 100 wolf, 15 Uryul, Hamalia Lynx 50 in Chitral similarly according to birds record 6000 Chakoor, 2000 snow cook, 150 Monal pheasants existing in Chitral at various forest like Chitral goal national park, Toshi etc. Hence due to reducing potential of forest numbers of wild life also reducing.
