Ground Report

Red Oak, Iowa 12:45 a.m. January 7, 2008:  That’s when and where it took place.  A crazed women in her mid twenties came bursting through the Montgomery County, Iowa jail with a loaded sawed off shotgun to free her boyfriend from confinement.  She came in the jail ready to fire demanding that the guard let her boyfriend go.  Once she got him out they went on a felonious spree.  First they stole a car from Red Oak and headed north to Crescent, Iowa where they dumped their first car and proceeded to steal another car.  After leaving Crescent they headed back south and west towards Omaha, Nebraska where they would dump there other stolen vehicle in return for another stolen vehicle.  After stealing this third vehicle they decided it was time to hide out for a little while but forgot one thing, they were all over the Omaha news channels as armed and dangerous suspects involved in a jailbreak.  A neighbor to the house they hid at finally called the cops and they were arrested after a minor hour stand-off with the women in her mid twenties.  After all the work they went through to free her boyfriend they wound up with three grand theft auto’s, escaping from jail, armed assault on an officer of the law, and a nice long prison sentence in the future.  I hope it was really worth all the trouble they went through because they won’t be seeing the outside of a prison for quite some time now.
