Indefinite Hunger Strike Enters Day 2

New Delhi (GR-TYP-BIN): Former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar said that he wishes for the success of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ‘deeksha’ (indefinite hunger strike) which is being staged in Guntur for the ‘Special Status’ of Andhra Pradesh.

He made the statement while he was talking about the division of the state. Mr. Undavalli also stated that the decision taken over the division of the state was a hasty one and that it was done with the consent of BJP which was in opposition at the time of division. “The division of the state has only done injustice to AP, and the government took decisions as if there was no one to question”, Undavalli said. “It’s been more than a year since the division and there is no progress in the state, BJP made use of the issue during elections and ignored it after coming to power”, he added.

The former MP requested the Parliament to address the issues caused by the division of the state and also said that the Centre should make things clear about the ‘special status’.

“I wish success to YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s ‘deeksha’ he has taken up for achieving the special status of the state”, Undavalli expressed.
