In regards to recent news events, one question must be asked: Are sexual abuse and incest counted as one of the hot topics to talk about in 2008? So far, we are in the middle of 2008 and there have been articles about sexual abuse, rape, incest, and so forth that had made the headlines.
A matter of months ago, there was the talk of rape and incest with the case of Josef Fritzl who had raped his daughter Elisabeth repeatedly. The nutshell version of this was that Elisabeth was held captive in the cellar of the home for twenty-four years, where she was raped repeatedly by her father. Elisabeth ended up having children out of the incestuous rape.
It was only then that when 19-year-old Kerstin Fritzl was admitted to the hospital.
This story was a mind blower in itself. Now, there is a completely new mind blower. A woman had anonymously written an article in the British newspaper “The Times.”
The unnamed woman admits to have had a sexual relationship with her brother since she was 14. However, this was not rape or sexual abuse. This was sex between two consenting individuals. Yes, brother and sister had both consented to sex. She admits that not many people are warm to the idea of this concept.
However, this is not the first time she has addressed it. The last time she talked about it was when she was in college and addressed it with a friend of hers.
Interestingly enough, she had a friend that felt the same way. Yes, her friend too preferred to have a relationship with her own brother.
Regardless, she says that all the memories of this sexual relationship with her brother were good ones. To her, it felt very “right.” In this article, she had given the whole ten yards about how the relationship started, developed, and ended.
Right now, her brother is married. Yet, his wife has no idea about the incestuous relationship between the two siblings.
The woman herself is in a relationship at the moment.
Overall, this is a story that would make anybody blink their eyes and go “What?” I myself am asking that.
In a nutshell, she has no guilt, no regret, and no reflections of disgust.
On a personal note, I am still trying to comprehend everything. This is not everyday you see an article about a person enjoying a sexual relationship with a blood-sibling.
Sexual relationships between step-siblings are understandable.
Sexual relationships between half-siblings still counts as incest. There are plenty of people that will make up some excuse that it is "acceptable."
Sexual relationships between blood-siblings are very “questionable.” Still, the woman did provide quite the interesting perspective.
The names mentioned in the article are fictitious to protect their identities. So yes, that means those names mentioned are not real names.
