Ayun police seized liquor arrested accused smuggler.
CHITRAL: Ayun police seized 3 liters wine and arrested one accused person. According to Ayun Police ASI Sher Ahmad of police post Bumborat was informed by informer that some body carrying local liquor to Chitral. On this he detailed police party and seized 3 liters wine from the posses of Jay Ardin son of Abdul Malik resident of Sarojal Bomborate. Police also arrested accused Jay Ardin and lodged FIR No. 188 on 2nd November, against him under section ¾ PHO (Pakistan Hadood Ordinance). It is worth to mention here that local wine (liquor) are preparing in 3 villages of Kalash valley (Non Muslims) and majority of Muslims also involved in smuggling of local wine to Chitral.
2 Months long Mosaic training concluded.
2 months long mosaic training completed at Community Hall Chitral. Some 27 female from different parts of Chitral were trained in mosaic training like jointing small pieces of stones, marbles and preparing different decoration pieces. Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan was chief guest on the final day of the training. Addressing on the occasion Sartaj Ahmad Khan stressed upon trainee women to not waste any opportunity to promote their own small business by utilizing their skills after this training. He said that women folk could earn their livelihood with a fear and genuine way if they continue this skill. He said that district government of Chitral will left no stone unturned to promote women folk of Chitral by arranging different trainings to enhance their skill. He advised them to continue their training on high level and assured that their trainers would be sent to Lahore and other big cities for higher training to further train local women of Chitral. This marble mosaic training workshop for women empowerment through skill development program by PASDEC (Pakistan Stone Development Company) in collaboration with Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) is a mailing stone for enhancing women skill to earn their livelihood and play a vital role in development and supporting society.
Miss Munira thanked Tehsil Nazim Sartaj Ahmad Khan for arranging and conducting this training. She while talking on behalf of trainee women demanded for prolonging this training at least for 3 months to enhance their skill. Mrs. Khadeeja Sardar said that due to non-availability of stones and marbles pieces most of their time was wasted. She demanded for assuring supply of stones and marble pieces before launching of their training to save their time. The participants (trainees) highly hailed and appreciated their training and thanked Tehsil Nazim Sartaj Ahmad Khan for his sincerely efforts to promote women folk by conducting different training workshops for them.
