World Volunteer day commemorated in Chitral

Fund sought for  medicines and furnishing, maintenance of 6 dispensaries.

CHITRAL:  Despite sanction and appointment of staff or six dispensaries there is no budget for providing of medicines, purchasing of furniture and equipments as well it also need of maintenance. Some six dispensaries of Charun Oveer, Mordair, Shuinch Terich, Parsat , Jinjirat Koh and Golain  had constructed under Peoples Works Program during the year 1989-90. Staff for these six dispensaries were sanction in 2010 and appointed this year for these dispensaries. Hence there is no budget for purchasing of medicines, Equipments, furniture etc. As well as all of these dispensaries need immediate repair because of lying closed for years without any using and utilization. But due to no fund and budget for this purposes it seems difficult to run these dispensaries smoothly and not in a position to render service to masses. In this connection when Executive District Officer Health Chitral Dr. Sher Qayun he also confirmed that although  staff have been appointed against the vacant posts at these 6 dispensaries but not budget have been released nor allocated for medicines, furniture and repair. Social and political circle of Chitral have appeal to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtonhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti and provincial Health Minister Syed  Zahir Shah, Secretary and Director General Health Department for allocation of fund for these dispensaries to be provided them life saving drugs, furniture and to arrange for its maintenance as a special case so as to operational these health units in the interest of public service.
