Jammu, February 01 (Scoop News) – The WWF-India , in collaboration with Ministry of Environment and Forest Government of India, Centre for Environment Education and Paryavaran Mitra, is organizing Gharana Wetland Birding Fair to mark the World Wetland Day .
World Wetlands Day is celebrated every year across the globe on February 2.
The bird fair is being organized at Gharana to highlight the rich variety of migratory birds found on the site in winter season, besides making the Government and civil society aware about the importance to conserve the rich habitat.
About 35 schools including Army, K.V’s and Government schools along with some environment NGOs are participating in the campaign.
