Two young lovers were found dead allegedly by consuming poison in a private lodge here, police said.
The duo, hailing from Kuthattukulam in Ernakulam district were found to have taken poisonous substance for taking the extreme step, police said.
While the body of 18-year old Athira, hailing from Paravoor was traced in the afternoon, her lover, Manu K Sasi (19), a hotel management student of a Mangalore college, succumbed at the Kasaragod Government district hospital here.
The duo had checked in the lodge around 05.00 hours yesterday, they said adding the motive behind the alleged suicide was not immediately known.
Police here said a case of missing had been registered with the Kuthattukulam police station, a few days ago.
