Cenk Uygur, host of the successful online news show The Young Turks parted ways this week with his 6PM Eastern time slot on MSNBC, despite extremely good ratings besting CNN and Fox News in key demographics.
In the opening of his Young Turks program Uygur explained that MSNBC offered him twice the amount of money but for a smaller role.
Uygur also spoke at length about how management considered itself "the establishment" and want Cenk to "tone it down" despite excellent ratings.
Al Sharpton is expected to fill in for the 6PM slot.
