Three day residential Youth Journalism and Human Rights training has been organized by Relief International with the intent to increase the journalistic and technological skills of rural and urban youths around khulna Division. Students from secondary and higher secondary level students were solicited to participate in the residential camp to enrich their ICT skills as well as contribute to protect and promote the human rights infringment.
The trainings were facilitated by regional journalists from electronic and print media and human rights activist as well. The sessions cover topics like Basics of journalism, Reporting to media, Role of media in protecting human rights, Use of ICT in Citizen Journalism etc.
The training was inaugurated by the Honorable City Mayor of Khulna Mr. Talukdar Abdul Khaleque. "ICT has been playing a vital role in changing our lives and livelihoods" said the honorable city mayor in his speech. He also added that future generation should be more aware about the impact of ICT in their professional development.
We could learn a lot of innovative topics and issues through the entreprenuers of Relief International and wish to implement the learnings into development.
