CYC kicked cleanliness Drive.
CHITRAL: Volunteers members of Chitral Youth Club (CYC) for Peace & Development kicked a two days Cleanliness campaign at Chitral. Talking to APP Dr. Ziaullah Khan president of CYC and Cricket Association said that some 20 members of CYC participating in the cleanliness campaign turn by turn. He said that the campaign will be continue for two days in which we will clean the parade ground of Government Centennial Model High School to ready and prepare it for district tournament which will be started next week. He said that 32 members are working in Chitral Youth Club on volunteer basis who working for peace and development. He said main objective of the club is to eradicate social evils like drugs, narcotics from the young generation and to streamline all existing resources for uplifting and development of the area. He said that CYC always participating and promoting social activities. He said that members from all 3 communities living in Chitral are working with CYC. He said that CYC always-arranging tournament of different sports and games on district level. He stressed upon the other youth to must came and join us in eliminating social evils from the society and promoting sports activities in young generation to save them from drug abuses. " We conducted so many district sports tournaments and supporting supports games and sports activities in the entire district " Dr. Khan added. District cricket champion tournament will be started next year he added. Responding to a question he said that as there is public stadium at Chitral and that is why our young generation indulging in anti social activities like drugs and narcotics. He demanded for early construction of a public stadium at Chitral because hospital always remain full of patients of those nations whose playground remain inactive and vacant from sports activities he added.
