Sangaid-Mandli(Billawar),December 16(Scoop News)-Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today said the youth of Jammu and Kashmir state now wants to change his lives for the better, just like the rest of India. He said the youth wants laptops, and good education like in other parts of India. He said the dreams of the youth are now his dreams as well.
Modi was addressing a election rallay at Sanghar in Jammu said he had often visited Jammu and Kashmir right from the days when he was just an ordinary party worker. But he said he had never witnessed such a situation and such enthusiastic and big crowds in Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister urged the people to keep this spirit alive, and said it would go a long way in strengthening democracy even further in India.
He particularly mentioned the fact that women participated enthusiastically in the rallies all through his rallies, including in the Kashmir valley.
Modi said he saw indications of a change in the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the first time since independence. He said that the political pundits had been proved wrong in the recent Lok Sabha elections, and then in subsequent assembly elections as well. He urged the people to forget the past, and said now the people of Jammu had the power to change the fortune of the state.
He said previous successive governments in the state had failed the people, but there was no alternative available to the people. He said now for the first time, the people of the state had a real alternative. He said the problems of Jammu and Kashmir are corruption, bad governance and family rule. He said democracy had the strength to give all youth a fair chance. But family rule had denied opportunities to the people so far.
The Prime Minister said the hydropower potential of the state could energize all of India, and could also provide ample employment opportunities for the people of the state.
He said the only solution to all problems was “vikas” (development). What do the youth need, he asked the assembled gathering? He said only a development-oriented government could provide employment for the youth. He urged the people of the Jammu region to reject the Congress party.
He urged the people to elect the BJP with a full majority in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Prime Minister said today there was a new respect across the world for India. This was due to the decisive mandate given to the Union Government by 125 crore Indians. He said if the people wanted Jammu and Kashmir to make a name on the world stage, then a stable state government with full BJP majority is necessary.
