Islamabad: A meeting was held at the capital of Pakistan, presided by the Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari, also participated by the parliamentarians from FATA.
The parliamentarians from the tribal belt of north western part of Pakistan, stressed the need to bring the insurgents to the table, that is the best policy to resolve the ongoing insurgency in the tribal areas and the problems on the other side of the border inside Afghanistan, because of the military operation things are worsening and the military actions are not yielding positive results and it is spreading to other settled areas.
Consequently, the insurgency is increasing because of the improper implementation of the government policies and even the writ of the political administration has not been restored so far.
At the end, Mr. Zardari said that the negotiations are only possible with those insurgents who give up insurgency and come to the table.
Soon a tribal jirga (elders) from different clans will be sent to initiate the peace talks with the Taliban leaders and apprehend them about the geo-political situation, the tension on the eastern borders and the drone incursions on the western borders, over the innocent civilian population.
