Zafar Meraj assures to solve problems of KPs

Jammu, November 29, (Scoop News)-Seeking support of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community to set up a new system of justice and equality in Jammu and Kashmir, eminent journalist Zafar Meraj, who is PDP candidate for Habakadal assembly segment, today said that this superior intellect community has to play an important role in on going transformation process in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a meeting of Kashmiri Pandits at Bohri area, in the outskirts of Jammu city, Mr Zafar sought support and cooperation of the Kashmiri Pandit community to change the present inept system. “PDP has already started the process of transformation to change destiny of the people of this State”, he said, adding, “we want role KPs in the process of transformation and you have to be with us in our efforts to establish a new system in the State”.
He termed this minuscule minority community as superior intellect, which has to play important role in the state politics. He said that Kashmiri Pandits were part and parcel of the composite Kashmiri culture and it was need of the hour to strengthen this culture.
He assured dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits to their native places in Kashmir Valley. “Return of Kashmiri Pandits to their native places in Kashmir Valley is must to maintain the ethnicity and diversity of Kashmiri culture”, he maintained and reiterated his party’s solve to facilitate honourable return of the community. “It is my desire to bring back all Kashmiri Pandits who have left their homes and hearths two decades back”, he announced, adding, “PDP wants that Kashmiri Pandits should return to their native places with dignity and honour”.
Mr Zafar assured that PDP, if voted to power, would reconstruct all houses of KPs damaged in the Valley due to turmoil. He assured that if he would be given the opportunity, he would at-least repair all houses of KPs in his constituency of Habakadal.
Ramesh Koul, S K Raina, Sunil Bhat, Shadi Lal, Fouja Singh and others were present on the occasion.
