CNN’s Wolf Blitzer had interviewed both Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley who are legends within the NBA. Both Johnson and Barkley had played for the Lakers and Suns respectively. The two were also apart of the United States Olympic Dream Team in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain.
Both have talked with Blitzer in separate interviews.
Both legends would be talking about politics in their interview with Wolf Blitzer. Charles Barkley, a legend, former Phoenix Suns player, and basketball game analyst for TNT, said that his dream ticket for the Democratic Party is Obama-Clinton.
“My dream team would be Obama-Clinton, not Clinton-Obama,” said Charles Barkley. One of his other titles is “Sir Charles.”
“I want Barack to be president. …I just think we need a new face, we need a new leader,” Barkley would add.
“I hope really that both of them end up on the same ticket,” Magic Johnson explained. While Barkley supports Obama, Johnson is supporting Clinton. “I would really love seeing that and I think a lot of other people would love seeing that as well,” Johnson added.
Johnson said he would give his support to Obama if he does win the Democratic nomination. He had compared a Clinton-Obama ticket to himself, Michael Jordan, and Larry Byrd playing together on a dream team.
Barkley said the same thing and would give his support to Clinton if she wins the nomination.
