Miss Nahida Soz was addressing a gathering at a Women awareness camp organised by J&K Women’s Development Corporation at Doodmohalla, Shalimar.She said decreasing the female ratio will ultimately cause a great loss to the society. She urged upon the women folk for equall treatment of their children besides better education.
She said that during the current financial year, Rs.10.12 crore easy loans have been provided to 1485 women for establishing self help groups for different skills from Women Development Corporation. She also said different kind of loans under minority scheme Rs.8.44 Crores loans have been given to 1276 women for different starting skills while under handicapped schemes Rs.9 lakh, under SKEP,Rs.1.24 crore to 65 women besides under National Backward scheme Rs.35 lakh to 144 women were advanced.
Earlier MLA, Sonawari, Mohammad Yaseen Shah while stressing on the development of the women and utilising their capabilities the MLA, Sonawari, said that a number of developmental and welfare schemes have been launched by the present government for prosperity of every section of the society particularly for empowering the women folk.
He further said that women folk will not only become self reliant but also be economically prosperous due to implementation of various welfare schemes launched by Women Development Corporation in the State. He urged upon the women folk to come forward and get benefitted by these welfare schemes.
