Speaking at rehabilitation programme function organized by Guild for services an NGO of national standing at Gulab Bagh Raahat Ghar, the Minister said NGOs are playing a commendable role in making women self dependent by imparting them trainings in different crafts and trades. She called upon women to come forward and take benefit of these Schemes by equipping themselves with themselves with different crafts and trades.

The Minister said “children are future of the nation; to impart them with modern and vocational education should be motto of all of us, so that they not only earn their livelihood but compete modern world challenges”.
Ms Sakina said that people of the state have suffered a lot during last two decades due to militancy. “Hundreds of women became widows and and children orphans. Our endeavour would be to rehabilitate them, for which not only government but society as well as NGOs have to play their roles”, she asserted.
Appreciating the role of Guild for service, the Minister hoped that the organization would continue its service in the valley so that more and more widows and orphans benefitted by their support. She assured the organization that government would provided necessary logical support and financial assistance to them for this noble cause.

She said that apart from Raahat Ghar, Sanitary napkin project, focusing on genital hygiene and employment for women is run by Guild with support of generous donors. She said over 50 widows of the Valley have been imparted in sanitary napkin trainings to make them self dependent. She said that several orphans besides providing academic education is imparted with vocational trainings and also provide jobs to them.
