Security of the state has been deep concern of all the stake holders from Jammu province including Congress, but, Congress is mum after Omar Abdullah raised strong voice against Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA). Under the circumstances where IGP Jammu and IGP Kashmir are sounding alert against the threat imposed due to militancy. Need is to be ready and prepared to deal with militancy, IGP Jammu said media persons on Thursday. IGP Kashmir in Baramulla few days back reiterated the same stand while talking on sidelines of a function.
The question worth to answer is that on what basis Omar Abdullah is demanding revocation of AFSPA. As both the regional police heads are sounds alerts in this regard. “If Omar is serious for withdrawal of AFSPA, let him try by withdrawing the security of some MLAs of his party for a month or two so that situation could be testified” Mushtaq Ahmed a political activist from South Kashmir said.
